Volunteers Still Needed: Halloween in the Park!
What will make the ONA Halloween in the Park a success this Saturday? You will!
We still need volunteers!!! It is easy and fun. You and a friend can man a game booth, or you can meet a new friend while working at one. Help hand out refreshments, judge the costume contest...we can have a place for everyone who wants to help!
Don't have time to volunteer? You can help with a donation! We still need candy for game booths, small can drinks and juice boxes.
Contact Glenda at 817.975.4653 or ghartsell@charter.net for details.
Volunteers are not paid—because they are priceless!

ONA's New Website Now Online!
Our current Oakhurst Neighborhood Association website, www.oakhurstfw.org, has served as a helpful resource for information about the neighborhood for a number of years. In an effort to continually improve our service to the neighborhood and community, and to create a more interactive experience for our members, we are putting together a new site here on Blogger. We'll keep the existing site online through this transition, but please subscribe to this new site for updates!

25th Anniversary of the Oakhurst Citizens on Patrol Police and Firefighters Appreciation Dinner
The 25th anniversary of the Oakhurst Citizens on Patrol Police and Firefighters Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, October 4, 2012. The event was held at Springdale Baptist Church. Oakhurst residents prepared a home-cooked meal to honor the police officers and firefighters who serve the neighborhood. Pictured here are Phyllis Anglin, event chair, and Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price at the event. Also attending the event was Fort Worth Police Chief Jeff Halstead, along with many police officers and firefighters. Thank you to all of our hard-working volunteers that have made this event a continued success!
